We call this 15-3 hand gelding,"Rod". He is a stout, long-legged ranch horse supreme! He's been roped off of, been to brandings, crosses water and travels well. He's easy going with a good work ethic. Rod is a very tough all-day type of ranch gelding. His sire is a grandson the legendary, Peppy San Badger, and goes back to Hollywood Gold. The dam, Tyrees Poco Maid was one of our great old foundation mares at our Horse Butte Ranch and she came from the Stearns program in SD. She was a grandaughter of AQHA Champion, Watch Joe Jack..
Rod, was a member of a trailer load of fresh weaned colts that Thad picked up here at the ranch, has been in his care and training ever since.
